NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bahamian legendary singer Phil Stubbs has made his return to the stage for the first time in years.

Stubbs comes from a family of singers. He says that is how he developed a passion for singing.

His singing career did not take off until later on as he moved from Cat Island, to Eleuthera and then to New Providence where he joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

And, following that, he moved to Grand Bahama as a dog trainer and that is where his career began to take off.

Stubbs became popular in the community of West End, Grand Bahama. He revealed that he had some doubters at the time but he was able to prove himself.

And, it was in the little community of West End that the song “West End Move” was created. But, the song took some time to produce as he would write down parts of the lyrics as he thought of them on rocks and paper.

While he didn’t do much traveling to perform, he says he still had to balance his family life and his musical career.
