NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Trinidadian soca artist Lyrikal is a favorite of fete-goers and soca junkies with his infectious lyrics and high-powered performances captivating crowds whenever he performs.

Our Jean-Joseph got a chance to chat with the soca star recently as he brought down the rain at a wet fete.

The city came alive as Lyrikal took to the stage at Big Boyz Productions Foam Madness 3 Reloaded event in Smuggler’s Square, Downtown.

Lyrikal, who has been a staple soca artist here since 2015, says he always appreciates the energy he gets from the Bahamian people, and Friday’s event was no different.

Though Lyrikal may be new to some, he is no stranger to the islands and says he has made special memories here over the years.

And while the pandemic forced the world to slow down, Lyrikal didn’t let that stop his show. He’s been busy producing music with a new album on the way for fans and international performances planned to support the new release.
