LONG ISLAND, BAHAMAS – Long Island’s Chief Councillor, Ian Knowles says in recent years they’ve made a lot of progress on the island with issues like garbage collection, and public bathroom access.

Now there’s a bigger issue plaguing residents and tourists alike. The island’s desperate need for proper roads, particularly in the north.

Residents are also calling for a bank to return on the island.

At the moment their main options for accessing cash are either a single ATM, or head to the post office.

Knowles says these are all things developers consider before deciding to invest.
