Viral Video Prompts Swimming Pigs Outrage

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Humane Society is calling for more to be done to protect animals after a TikTok video went viral showing what they claim is the mistreatment of swimming pigs in the northern Bahamas.

It was a clip that went viral, after visitors say they were horrified  by what they thought would be an exciting swimming-with-pigs experience.

Instead, they claim they were met by six hogs in a cage on a beach, who were forced into the water to interact with guests.

The clip sparking outrage. Bahamas humane society president is Kim Aranha.

Shelter Manager at the Bahamas Humane Society Inspector Percy Grant adding that the exploitation of the animals is not a good look for the country.

According to the viral post, the visitors believed they would be participating in an activity similar to the famous swimming with pigs excursion in the Exumas, where they say the pigs are allowed to roam freely.

But is this treatment of pigs the norm?
