NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Lyford Cay International School took home their first-ever volleyball championship on Monday when their junior girls defeated Kingsway Academy in straight sets, 3-0.

The team was coached by Elliot Ilgenfritz, Erin Fox and student coach Elissa Cheng.

Lyford’s senior boys team was also runner up to the host school, Aquinas College.

Meanwhile, BJ Murray was selected by the Cubs with the 454th overall pick of the 2021 major league baseball draft out of Florida Atlantic University.

Nowadays, it looks like this prospect is moving on up from Boca, to the northside of Chicago.

BJ Murray has been on a tear recently for the Chicago Cubs double-A affiliate, the Tennesee Smokies.

The switch-hitting third baseman made some great plays in the world baseball classic for Great Britain and that’s carried over into his minor league season. He’s been balling in the minors, hitting .250 with 6 home runs and a .890 ops.

Just last week he hit home runs from both sides of the plate in the same game.

It’s not common for players drafted where he was to make it to the majors, but if Murray can maintain this tear, don’t be shocked if he finds himself in the windy city.
