Mako Aquatics Wins 7th Consecutive Title

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Night four of the 53rd Bahamas National Swimming Championships ended with Mako Aquatics taking home their seventh consecutive title.

After four grueling days at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatics Center with both morning evening sessions, Mako accumulated 3,109 points along with 278 total medals – that’s 129 gold, 83 silver and 66 bronze.

And as is customary, the winning team jumped in the pool once they collected their trophy.

Head Coach Travano McPhee also coaches his daughter, Isabella Munroe. She took home nine gold medals.

Mako swimmers also broke several national records during the meet.

Placing second was Alpha Aquatics with 1,381 points, followed by Barracuda Swim Club with 1,330 points, Blue Waves with 1,115 points and Black Marlins with 475 points to round out the top five.
