NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of rape while on bail for sex crimes against children has been granted bail again.

Thirty-one-year-old Danis Cezalien is accused of raping a 25-year-old woman on November 25, 2023.

Cezalien was on bail for allegedly having a six-year-old girl and forcing her to perform sex acts with a six-year-old boy when the rape allegedly occurred.

Justice Neil Brathwaite set bail at $9,900 for Cezalien after finding that he did not pose a danger to public order and safety.

Cezalien will be fitted with an ankle bracelet and must keep a curfew. He has to surrender his passport to the court, check in with police three times weekly, and is banned from contacting witnesses.

Any breach of these conditions could send Cezalien back to prison.
