Man Accused of Killing Key Witness in Upcoming Armed Robbery Trial

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Thirty-nine-year-old Adnan Oliver allegedly missed 81 court-ordered check-ins at a police station before he allegedly murdered James McPhee on July 12.

Oliver allegedly killed McPhee, one month before he was set to stand trial in the Supreme Court for robbing McPhee of a $70,000 Rolex watch in September 2019.

Oliver allegedly chopped McPhee about the body and ran him over with a car off Spikenard Road.

Chief Superintendent Harris Cash and Superintendent Elvis Miller allegedly witnessed the hit-and-run and pursued Oliver, who allegedly opened fire at the officers.

Oliver was allegedly found with a 9mm pistol and five rounds of ammunition.

He was not required to enter pleas to murder, attempted murder and firearms charges and was denied bail.

He returns to court on October 30 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Oliver denied violating his bail conditions and his trial is set for August 11.
