NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Investigators are probing three more murders – two of them here in the capital.

Another family in mourning as their loved one is wheeled into a hearse.

Residents waiting anxiously as police are seen here scraping up shards of glass and collecting bullets to uncover any details that may have lead to the death of one of the country’s latest murder victims – 31-year-old Dwight Jones, also known as ‘Whitey’.

Jones was accused of the February 7, 2017, Ida Street murder of Benjamin Anderson, who was killed outside his home.

Police telling Our News two gunmen opened fire on Jones while he was sitting in a vehicle outside an apartment shortly before 8PM. The assailants would pursue Jones to the rear of a nearby yard, executing him there – shooting him some ten times. The victim’s friends and family visibly distraught.

Superintendent Audley Peters making this all too familiar appeal in a rising tide of crime. The quarry mission area also under fire around that time as residents tell Our News a woman was shot, her attackers fleeing on foot.

Peters reminds residents who may have any information, of the consequence of keeping silent.
