NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of pushing a man off his bike before robbing him at knifepoint has taken a plea deal.

Justice Franklyn Williams sentenced forty-four-year-old Matthew Butterfield to three years in prison in accordance with the agreement.

The year that Butterfield has spent in custody will be deducted from the sentence.

On February 19, 2025, while in the area of Carew Street and Mount Royal Avenue, Butterfield shoved Wesley Rolle of his bike, pulled a knife on him and robbed him of $100.
