Man Charged with Fraud Jailed for 12 Months
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who ripped off three car buyers has been jailed for 12 months.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who ripped off three car buyers has been jailed for 12 months.
Sean Roberts, 29, advertised Honda Fits for sale on Facebook using an assumed name.
Roberts collected a total of $7,500 from his victims.
But Roberts never produced the cars, prompting his victims to file police reports.
Roberts turned himself into police after a wanted bulletin was issued for him.
He pleaded guilty to fraud by false pretenses, telling Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley he was trying to raise money for his sick son who has a swollen kidney.
