NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Forty-five-year-old Jason Williams is behind bars accused of raping a 16-year-old girl.

Prosecutors say this happened on July 5 at a shop on Balfour Avenue.

Williams didn’t have to enter a plea to the charge when made his first court appearance before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.

Bail was denied and Williams returns to court on October 16 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
