Man Denied Bail for Allegedly Shooting Female Banker

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 47-year-old accused of fatally shooting a woman outside of her home has been denied bail. 

Prosecutors say Lynden Vincent is responsible for the October 31 murder of 42-year-old Patrice Sawyer.

According to police, the employee of Commonwealth Bank was shot multiple times after someone called her outside.

Vincent, a resident of Fig Tree Crescent, did not have to enter a plea to the murder charge when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.

He was refused bail and next returns to court on February 8, 2023.
