NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man believed to be in his late twenties has died from gunshot wounds, according to police.

Police Press Liaison Officer Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings told the media that shortly after 9:00pm Thursday, police received a call about a possible traffic accident on High Point Road.

“Officers responded and upon arrival met a man laying in the street with injuries to the upper body,” she said.

“Upon examination, we found the injuries were consistent with gunshot injuries. At present we are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding this particular incident but we are investigating and appealing to members of the public.”
