NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man facing a 2024 murder charge has to wait another year before he goes to trial.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man facing a 2024 murder charge has to wait another year before he goes to trial.
Alex Ovilmar expected his trial for the January 17, 2024 murder of Israel Gibson to begin this week.
But Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns told Ovilmar the matter had been pushed back to October 26, 2026 because the court was hearing another case.
Ovilmar, who remains on remand at the prison, denies shooting Gibson at Pineyard Road.
