Man Confesses to Robbery, Bail Granted

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who admitted to robbing a woman as she left a store in the Harbour Shopping Centre has been granted $5,000 bail, pending his sentencing.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who admitted to robbing a woman as she left a store in the Harbour Shopping Centre has been granted $5,000 bail, pending his sentencing. 

Michael Pratt, 20, pleaded guilty to robbing Sabrina Knowles of $800 cash, a Dooney and Bourke bag, Gucci bag and wallet and an iPhone Pro on September 28.

Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis is expected to sentence Pratt for his crime on November 11.

Meanwhile, Pratt’s codefendants, Howard Carey and Ombre Moss,  are expected to be tried on November 15 and 16.

The same men are accused of snatching a tourist’s bag while at the Westridge Shopping Centre.

They denied robbing Katherine Young of a handbag, containing her IDs, a Samsung Note and $35 cash.

They denied those charges and will be tried on November 15 and 16.Carey was granted $3,000 bail while Pratt was placed on $5,000 bail.

Both men have to wear ankle bracelets as a condition of their release. Meanwhile, Moss was denied bail because he was on bail for multiple offenses when he allegedly reoffended.
