NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who took a gun from a crime scene has been jailed for 11 years.

Raven Cooper received the sentence in a plea deal after he admitted to being an accessory after the fact to attempted murder before his trial began before Justice Neil Brathwaite.

The charges stem from a February 22, 2014 hooting at the now closed Hammerheads Bar on East Bay Street.

Prosecutors say Cooper was at the club with his friend Eric Stuart who got into a fight with another man.

Security officers kicked Cooper and Stuart out, but they returned soon after.

Stuart allegedly produced a gun and fired three shots into the crowd, injuring two people.

After the shooting, Stuart gave Cooper the gun he used in the shooting and Cooper left the scene with it.

Stuart has yet to be tried on the allegations. He is reportedly in Canada where he is being held on gang charges.
