Man Receives 15-Year Sentence for Raping 6-Year-Old Daughter

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 32-year-old man who raped his six-year-old daughter has been jailed for 15 years after pleading guilty to incest.

Supreme Court Justice Dale Fitzpatrick told the man that he would have faced a significantly longer sentence if he’d gone to trial.

The incident happened on March 12, 2022 and the victim is now 10.

Under the terms of a plea deal, three other charges were dismissed.

The man is serving a 17-year for the rape of a 25-year-old woman. Under the terms of the plea deal, both sentences will be served at the same time.
