NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 39-year-old man was sentenced to nine years in prison for raping a 15-year-old girl.

George Bernard Storr learned his fate today at a sentencing hearing before Justice Deborah Fraser.

A jury convicted Storr of unlawful sexual intercourse and threats of death on March 17th.

It was back on November 13, 2020 when Storr visited the teen’s mother at their home and offered to buy dinner for the family.

The girl’s mother allowed her daughter to walk with Storr to show him the restaurant that the family frequented.

However, Storr told the girl that he would take her to a less expensive eatery.

Instead, he took her to an abandoned building on Wulff Road. The teen began to run, and Storr dragged her into the building and raped her.

He told her that he would kill her if she told her mother.

Storr will be credited with the time he has already spent in prison. He will serve a one-year sentence for the death threat at the same time.
