NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who demanded $200 to return a misplaced iPhone 14 Plus to its owner has been placed on probation for three months.

Tatiano Pierre could spend 30 days behind bars if he reoffends while on probation.

Pierre called the number on the phone when he found it.

He was expecting the owner to bring his finder’s fee but was instead arrested by the police.

Pierre pleaded guilty to stealing by finding at his arraignment before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.
