NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In this weekend’s edition of The Humane Society’s dog of the week, Marlena Leonard introduces us to hope.

This is hope, a two year-old mini pit bull. Although the sweet boy was happy and relaxed for our interview.

His life looked very different just two weeks ago. When he came into The Bahamas Humane Society’s care, infested with ticks.

Moodie says he had been tied out and the neglect had left him shockingly emaciated.

Moodie says despite his condition on arrival, hope has been rather lucky, testing negative for heart worm and tick borne diseases.

Now, their focus is helping hope gain a bit more weight.
