NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Hundreds of Bahamian men gathered for a massive march for change on Sunday.

With the murder count well above 40 in the fourth month of 2024, and a series of violent crimes, including armed robberies, carjackings, and home invasions, Pastor Mario Moxey and other concerned men sent out the clarion call to meet at Clifford Park in a show of solidarity.

Free National Movement Deputy Leader Shanendon Cartwright, one of the event’s coordinators, says it is essential for men to assume their role as leaders.

Pastor Moxey shared Cartwright’s sentiments but also urged men to help seek solutions to the country’s social ills.

South Beach MP Bacchus Rolle also participated.

Cable Bahamas CEO Franklyn Butler and ALIV CEO John Gomez were also present for this historic moment. Gomez says it will take more collective efforts like this to see real change.
