MEXICO – Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is urging google to drop plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America” for U.S. Users, following President Trump’s recent executive order.

Sheinbaum argues international waters can’t be renamed beyond 12 nautical miles from a country’s shoreline.

Google says it typically follows official government sources for name changes.

Sheinbaum criticized google for catering to a single nation, even joking Mexico might demand “Mexican America” appear on the map.
