NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Music festival culture will be highlighted this weekend with Jazz in The Gardens Music Festival coverage, being discussed how festival culture can be beneficial for everyone.

Tourism minister Chester Cooper says, “We have the environment for it we have the artist it’s a great opportunity to promote really what we call our orange economy it’s in our blueprint for change these are the kinds of things that attract tourist to our shores.”

Now in its 18th year the festival continues to gain popularity, and from what i’m told, it creates unforgettable moments for anyone who’s attended.

Recently, Our News spoke with the Mayor of Miami Gardens, Rodney Harris, who told us about the impact the festival has had on the city.

“The city of Miami Gardens we’ve done a great job with making sure that our small businesses are taken care of they participate in Jazz a lot of the food trucks that’s around they participate in Jazz and the economic impact that it brings to South Florida in general is a tremendous amount of money that comes,” Mayor Harris said.

Mayor Harris says while the economic rewards are great the social impact it brings is priceless.
