UNITED KINGDOM – The Labour Party has won a landslide victory in the UK general election, according to the exit poll. It will mean Keir Starmer becomes the new Prime Minister, beating incumbent Rishi Sunak.

BBC reports Labour is expected to win 410 seats, with the conservatives expected on 131.

On social media, Starmer thanked everyone who voted and put their trust in what he called a “changed Labour Party”.

Voting closed at 5:00pm London time with results from most of the 650 constituencies due overnight.
