NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The University of The Bahamas’ Mingoes are feeling good about themselves after taking out the the i-BAP 11-0 to advance to the NPSA finals.

Breanna Hield picked up the win for the Mingoes on the rubber and Deavon Missick was the Mingoes’ best hitter, going 2-3 on the night.

Just to follow up, they played the Black Scorpions in game one of the championship series Thursday night, losing 18-9. We’ll have more on the series as it develops.

Bahamians In Action Over The Weekend

In NBA action Eric Gordon and his Phoenix Suns will take on the Memphis Grizzlies Friday. Buddy Hield and the Indian Pacers will play the Detroit Pistons and Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors will try to get off the schneid and end their losing streak against the San Antonio Spurs.

Prince Strachan and his Boise State Broncos should just be getting done against Air Force, his brother Mike and the Carolina Panthers play the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Not too much college hoops action this weekend, but Coach Yo and the Rebels are will return to action coming off their triumph at the Battle 4 Atlantis on Monday.
