NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A United States human rights report by the S.S. The Department of State, not speaking too highly of the country’s prison system but Foreign Affairs Minister, Fred Mitchell expressed that he isn’t too worried about the findings.

The 2022 country reports on human rights practices noting that The Bahamas’ prison conditions were harsh due to overcrowding, inadequate sanitation, poor nutrition, and inadequate medical care.
