Multiple Hikers Killed, Others Rescued After Volcano Erupts in Indonesia

INDONESIA – A volcanic eruption killed three people, two Singapore nationals and an Indonesian citizen on Friday morning.
That eruption also triggered a rescue operation to get more than a dozen hikers stranded near the crater, as 9 foreigners and 11 local hikers were climbing the mountain at the time of the eruption.
17 of the 20 climbers have been safely evacuated while the bodies of the three deceased currently remain on the mountain.
