UNITED STATES – The only suspect ever charged in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur, Duane “Keffe d” Davis, has lost his bid to have the case dismissed.

A judge ruled Tuesday that Davis failed to provide proof of any immunity deals, stating Nevada authorities never offered him one.

Davis’ lawyer argued the 27-year delay in prosecution violates his rights, calling it “egregious”.

Prosecutors countered that Davis has no evidence of immunity agreements and pointed to his own admissions in a 2019 memoir about orchestrating the shooting near the Las Vegas strip.

Now 61, Davis has pleaded not guilty and is set to go to trial on March 17th.
