NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The country hitting a grim milestone this week as the murder count has surpassed last year’s number.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The country hitting a grim milestone this week as the murder count has surpassed last year’s number.
In 2021, 119 murders were recorded, now murder in Grand Bahama overnight has pushed this year’s murder count to 121.
It’s the second homicide on that island this month, in the Frobisher Drive and Hearne Lane arear shortly before 11pm.
GB Press Liaison Officer Asp Stephen Rolle says officers found a man in his late twenties, early thirties with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officer appealing for the public’s help in solving this latest murder and says patrols will be beefed up as the holiday season approaches.
