NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On Nov. 30, the Nassau Cruise Port hosted the fourth edition of Soulful Sunday.

Hundreds turned out, and their energy filled the amphitheater, fueling electric performances by Nevandria Lyric, Donny and Xavy, and the Essence Band.

For many in attendance, the night was everything they hoped for and more.

Dr. Alia Campbell – Attendee
“Hands down all the vibes. I did not sit down once, and I sang every song. It was my era from eighties to two thousand.”

And for Basil and his friend Keval Williams, staying in their seats was never an option.

Basil – Attendee
“Listen to me, phenomenal, phenomenal. You sweating, yes, you had a good workout. This was my cardio for the week. I see you was on the speaker. No, that ain’t me, that was Keval. I was next to the speaker, next to Keval on the speaker. I was almost there though. My knees don’t work the same no more, bey. I was up there if my knees was two days younger.”

Keval Williams – Attendee
“Why you is carry on like that everywhere? Is it really everywhere or is it somewhere? No, it’s everywhere. You sure? Very, you right, it’s everywhere. But this what we need in life. We need fun. We need enjoyment. We need more people to dance.”

As the night came to a close, the evening’s hosts had one message for R&B lovers.

Rika C and Dasquay – Hosts, Soulful Sundays
“If you miss this one, you gotta catch the next one. You say soca Sunday? Soulful Sunday, ’cause we was singing songs from the soul. Songs I didn’t know, songs the words I didn’t know, songs before my time, songs during my time. Did y’all catch him singing ‘C is for cookie’ because he didn’t know another song to sing? All right, you don’t have to shame me. This was a taste of Soulful Sundays.”
