NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As part of a joint statement by first nations, indigenous peoples, and advocacy groups of 12 countries with the British monarch as Head of State, The Bahamas National Reparations Committee called on King Charles III to, “Immediately commit to the return of all our cultural treasures and artifacts.”

When asked the question about whether the group would be concerned about The Bahamas’ ability to safely preserve its own historical items if a catastrophic hurricane or other water damage became an issue, Dr. Niambi Hall Campbell-Dean, says even so, it should be our choice.
