NEMA Community Emergency Response Training Begins

As search and recovery efforts following Sunday’s boating tragedy continue, emergency response training was underway today as the National Emergency Management Agency was hosting a community emergency response workshop equipping volunteers to respond to emergencies across the islands.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As search and recovery efforts following Sunday’s boating tragedy continue, emergency response training was underway today as the National Emergency Management Agency was hosting a community emergency response workshop equipping volunteers to respond to emergencies across the islands.

Director of NEMA, Captain Stephen Russell, officially opening the training, saying he believes it is an ideal fit for The Bahamas because of scattered communities, with scarce resources.
