NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With more than 3,000 additional seats added to this year’s public inventory, officials say the upcoming Junkanoo parade experience will be more accessible than ever.

ALIV, the government’s official ticketing partner, has confirmed that 8,056 seats per parade will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. The expansion is a direct response to years of frustration from fans who say prime seating disappears within minutes each season.

Culture Minister Mario Bowleg says the goal is to ensure the general public finally has fair access to premium spots.

Tickets start at $27.50 plus VAT and go up to $250 plus VAT for a brand-new skybox experience. And for the first time, tickets can be purchased both in-store and through the ALIV Events app.

To avoid last-minute issues, ALIV’s Vice President of Marketing Amber Carey is urging paradegoers to download the app early and set up their accounts before Monday morning.

The National Junkanoo Committee says the expanded seating is part of a much larger movement, what they describe as the “next chapter of Junkanoo,” where technology and culture work hand in hand. Chairman Andrew Pinder says sponsors like ALIV are helping chart the way forward.

As part of its new four-year sponsorship, ALIV is rolling out tech upgrades including GPS-guided seating, color-matched QR codes, and improved global registration so visitors can participate more easily.

Chief ALIV Officer John Gomez also revealed that the company is adding more seating near the Straw Market as part of a new fan-fair area. And for those wondering whether the spirit of the season is still alive, he says the momentum speaks for itself.

“Junkanoo is the best show on Earth,” he said, adding that ALIV intends to help keep the experience accessible for generations to come.
