NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The formation of the World Boxing Federation of The Bahamas was announced this past week.

This move came after the International Combat Organization cut ties with the International Boxing Association, amateur boxing’s global governing body jeopardizing fighters boxing under the IBA umbrella opportunities to fight in prestigious events like the olympics.

Former Bahamas Olympic Committee President Wellington Miller was appointed president of the new body.
