NEW YORK, USA – The New York Immigration Coalition criticized a federal court ruling blocking the Biden administration’s “Keep Families Together” program, aimed at allowing undocumented Caribbean and other immigrants married to U.S. citizens to stay with their families.

Judge J. Campbell Barker ruled the program exceeded legal authority after 16 states led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton challenged it.

NYIC says the decision jeopardizes hundreds of thousands of families, urging the administration to appeal.

Trump’s recent election win has sparked further fears with deportation of immigrants listed as his top priority for January.
