Oasis Bar and Bistro Makes Debut: Exec. Chef Shares What’s to Come

NASSAU , BAHAMAS – Tickets are officially sold out for this year’s Paradise Plates fundraiser.

Hands For Hunger made the announcement Thursday on its social media channels, as organizers prepare to welcome more than two thousand guests to Atlantis’ Imperial Ballroom.

The annual event will feature an extensive culinary experience, with food and beverages from more than 50 participating vendors.

Among them this year is Oasis Bar and Bistro, making its debut at Paradise Plates.

Executive Chef Corey Small told us Wednesday that his team was already in full preparation mode…

“We actually started prep as of yesterday, with saucing ingredients and making sure everything is going to be on time. We’re looking to have fun. If we happen to run out, that’s a good thing. If we happen to have too much food, that’s a bad thing.”

Chef Small says they’ll be serving one of their signature items, promising a simple yet flavorful experience.

“We’re doing our specialties, which is tacos. We’re doing a shrimp taco and also a chicken taco.”

Small notes that participating in Paradise Plates has been a company goal, and now that they are making their debut, they intend to seize the moment.

“It’s always something that we wanted to be in. This particular year at this time especially is special to us. We actually gone to launch our relocation of Oasis Bar and Bistro at Hands For Hunger in terms of our new menu, our new location, staff clothing, so we’re going to see Oasis with a bit of a different look.”
