NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The late Obie Wilchcombe has been revered as an iconic broadcaster and veteran politician with many recalling his indelible impact on the country.

On Monday we heard we from his daughter who describes him as a reliable father.

While grieving the abrupt passing of her father, Adia Isaacs is coming to terms with the fact that her youngest child will never get to meet her grandfather.

She tells us they were planning to meetup.

News broke of Social Services, Broadcasting and Information Minister Obie Wilchombe’s death on September 25th sending a shockwave throughout the nation.

Isaacs says she was at work when she got a call from her sister that Wilchcombe was unresponsive but that they were working on him but she says what she’s describing as a bad gut feeling.

Isaccs says his untimely passing has brought all of the siblings closer.

One week later, she says she’s yet to properly digest his passing.

She remembers him as being reliable and always there.

She also relived the final time she heard her father’s voice only days before his sudden death.
