Officials Commemorate World Wetlands Day

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – World Wetlands Day was celebrated on February 2. To commemorate it, environmentalists and others planted trees at Bonefish Pond National Park.

Environment and Natural Resources Minister Vaugn Miller was also on hand for the tree planting.

He says the ministry has some responsibility for the preservation of wetlands, adding that they have been listed as protected species.
