NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The HMS Dauntless is the second ship of the Royal Navy’s Daring-Class Air-Defence Destroyers. The 500-foot-long ship has anti-air and anti-ship missiles.

This past weekend, Our News was invited to an exclusive tour, led by Lt. Commander Ian le Poidevin and Lt. Louis Curtis.

We got an up-close look at the bridge, helicopter hangar and weaponry onboard the ship.

We were even taken inside the operations room.

But this year, its mission doesn’t carry it into battle. The HMS Dauntless is the hurricane relief ship for the region this hurricane season.

And Brewster says this deployment is special for those aboard the Dauntless.
