Online Customs Declarations Now Mandatory
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The mandatory usage of the Customs Exempt App begins June 12. This means travelers will no longer have to fill out a printed form when clearing customs.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The mandatory usage of the Customs Exempt App begins June 12. This means travelers will no longer have to fill out a printed form when clearing customs.
While it is expected to be a quick and easier declaration process, customs officials are advising residents that the examination process remains.
All of the necessary forms will be available on the app and instructional videos on how to use the app can be accessed on bahamascustoms.gov.bs.
For those without a smartphone, officials say kioks will also be available for use.
