NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander boasting of another smooth Junkanoo parade. 

Following his walk through of the New Year’s Day Parade Fernander said there were no incidents to report.

However, he did say a group of young men were taken into police custody.

Fernander credits the partnership with the Royal Bahamas Defence Force with helping keep the parade safe. 

The police commissioner also gave an update on a Boxing Day parade incident where an officer was hit by a car and taken to hospital.
