NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A jury has unanimously acquitted two men of attempted murder.

Prosecutors alleged that Hensle Ellis and Willard Ingraham shot Bernard Farrington as he walked in the Mason’s Addition area on September 25, 2018.

Farrington, who was left paralyzed by the shooting, died before the trial began before Justice Jeanine Weech-Gomez.

However, his witness statement in which he identified his alleged assailants, was admitted into evidence.

Nonetheless, the jurors acquitted the accused after defense lawyers questioned the reliability of Farrington’s statement.
