NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men have been charged following the seizure $1.2 million of cocaine on July 24.

Officers from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force found 61 kilos of cocaine after they stopped and searched a vessel captained by Carlos Del Gado in Prince George Wharf.

Police arrested Jamaal Bain, 34, of Bamboo Town, following further investigations.

Bain was granted $50,000 bail and is required to wear an electronic monitoring device.

Until then, he’s been remanded to the Bahamas Department of Corrections.

Both men will be tried on November 7 and 8.
