NASSAU, BAHAMAS – She’s best known for managing one of The Bahamas’ most recognizable homegrown artists, but behind the scenes, Petra Haven is quietly shaping the future of the country’s entertainment industry, all while battling a life-threatening illness.

Haven’s client, singer Julien Believe, has performed at major festivals across the United States and even graced the Miss World stage in China. But Petra says her true passion has always been helping to build and professionalize the Bahamian entertainment scene.

A Creative Powerhouse

While many know her as Julien Believe’s manager, Petra is much more than that. She’s a former athlete, a trained dancer, and a marketing graduate, a diverse background she says became her blueprint for change in the local creative sector.

“When I moved back home, I recognized that a lot of these entertainers and creatives needed representation,” she explained.

That realization led her to launch Chameleon Management Group, a company dedicated to supporting Bahamian talent. She also played a key role in shaping the country’s Anti-Doping and Sports Act, demonstrating her influence beyond the entertainment sphere.

A Personal Battle Behind the Spotlight

Behind her professional success, Petra faces a profound personal challenge: kidney failure.

“Three years ago, I went into renal failure. Three times a week, four hours each time, I have to sit down for dialysis,” she shared.

Despite the grueling treatments and the ongoing wait for a transplant, Petra remains unwavering in her drive. Her work continues, fueled by passion, purpose, and her deep faith in God.

“Pouring myself into work is what really keeps me going, also my faith in God,” she said. “I have a really amazing support system. I can’t say I do it by myself, through God and through my support system, I’ve been able to make it through.”

An Unstoppable Force

Petra Haven’s story is one of resilience and vision. Even while navigating personal health challenges, she’s building platforms for Bahamian creatives to shine, proving that true impact often happens behind the curtain.
