Thelma Gibson Principal To Be Tried for Assault
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Embattled school principal Olivia Daxon will be tried for an alleged assault on a teacher at Thelma Gibson Primary School on December 19.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Embattled school principal Olivia Daxon will be tried for an alleged assault on a teacher at Thelma Gibson Primary School on December 19.
Prosecutors said the 50-year-old assaulted Shenique Sweeting at the school back on September 12.
The day after the alleged assault teachers walked off the job and called for Daxon’s dismissal.
Daxon wasn’t let go, but as protests continued she took vacation leave on October 12..
She pleaded not guilty during an arraignment before Magistrate Shaka Serville on Friday and was released on her own recognizance.
