NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 24-year-old man is in prison after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home and raping her.

Garnet Thompson Jr allegedly sexually assaulted the 27-year-old woman in the bedroom of her residence in Cargill Creek, Andros on November 18.

Thompson, who is represented by Miranda Adderley, didn’t have to enter pleas to charges of burglary and rape when he appeared before Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.

Thompson was remanded to prison until February 24.

He will stay there unless a Supreme Court judge grants him bail.
