NASSAU, BAHAMAS – PLP Chairman and Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell weighing in on the ongoing battle between Atlantis and the government over the Royal Caribbean investment on Paradise Island.

Following a statement to employees, the Department of Labour launched an investigation at the resort amid reports employees felt pressured and intimidated by an executive.

Mitchell is questioning why the resort is taking such a stance with the government.

Last week, Atlantis Vice President of Government Affairs and Special Projects Vaughn Roberts said Atlantis executives were surprised and disheartened by the Labour Department’s investigation into the resort.

Mitchell found this curious.
