PLP Prospective Candidate: I Will Make West End A Model Community

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Progressive Liberal Party prospective candidate for the West Grand Bahama and Bimini Robert Grant Sr. is preparing to join the race and believes he should be the next member of parliament for the area.

Prospective PLP candidates now have less than 48 hours to apply as the process will end on Tuesday at midnight. Grant says he’s already submitted his letter of interest.

Grant, who is the son of former senator the late Austin Grant, considers himself as one who was born into politics.

He recalls one of his encounters with former prime minister, the late Sir Lynden Pindling.

Grant says he’s been active in the community as a businessman and local government member.

He ran in the west Grand Bahama and Bimini constituency some twenty years ago against the late Obie Wilhccombe. Now 62 years old, this time around he says he is optimistic.

Grant revealing that he waited until the late Obie Wilhccombe was laid to rest before putting his name forth adding that he has a wealth of knowledge as he says he was involved in the freedom of Nelson Mandela.

Grant says it is his plan fight for equal rights and justice for all and make west end a model community for The Bahamas.
