GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – With Nomination Day now out of the way, the Progressive Liberal Party is turning up the heat on the ground in West Grand Bahama and Bimini.

Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Michael Darville is heading campaign efforts in Bimini. He tells us they will have more boots on the ground in that area.

And the same can be said for West Grand Bahama.

Paco Deal is a part of the campaign team there. He says their presence will be felt in that area.

PLP Candidate Kingsley Smith will go head to head with Bishop Ricardo Grant for the Free National Movement, Coalition of Independents Leader Lincoln Bain, Terneille Burrows, and Daquan Swain.

Political parties kicked into high gear following the death of the late Obie Wilchcombe who represented the area.

The by-election to fill the seat is slated for November 22nd. Darville says the plan is to continue the plans left by Winchcombe.
